It’s far from a normal year, but the show will go on! While we cannot present the full FREDDY© program with awards for such deserving students this year, there will be a FREDDY© Television Special on Thursday, May 21 at 6:30pm on WFMZ-TV. This year’s show will feature a special celebration of our seniors. Our hats go off to them!

This year’s circumstances did not dampen our spirits, or our commitment to theatre students in our region. While a bit different for 2020, the FREDDY© Program continues to support local schools and students with over $200,000 in college scholarships, cash awards to all 29 schools thanks to our community partners, regional marketing and the upcoming television broadcast.

Please help the State Theatre by making a donation. The value of the program is priceless, but even in this modified year, the cost to present it is far from free. As a non-profit, mission-based organization, the State Theatre needs the support of people like you to support programs like the FREDDYs.
